Year 2 and Year 6 Assessments
End of Year 2 and Year 6 Statutory Assessments 2019 - 2020
In Year 6 and Year 2, each year, the pupils undertake end of key stage assessments, otherwise known as the SATs.
These tests assess the progress made by each pupil across the Key Stage.
Year 2
In Year 2 we administer the SAT papers during the month of May. KS1 SAT papers consist of Reading and Mathematics. Children will also complete Writing assessments.
In October (7th) Miss Scott will hold a meeting in school for the Year 2 parents to explain the process and give parents a chance to ask any questions.
School will hold weekly Booster Clubs to provide all Year 2 children with additional reading, writing and maths support.
Year 6
This year, SATs week will take place week commencing Monday 11th May, 2020. KS2 SAT papers consist of Reading, Grammar and Spelling and Mathematics. Children will also complete Writing assessments.
In October (8th) Mr Quarry will hold a meeting in school for the Year 6 parents to explain the process and give parents a chance to ask any questions. In October (24th) and February (13th) Mr Quary will hold 1 to 1 parents meetings in school for the Year 6 parents and pupil to explain the process and give parents a chance to ask any questions. At this meeting all Year 6 pupils will be given Reading, GPS and Mathematics Revision Guides and a revision activity planner for children to work through if they choose.
